Becoming a Titus 2 Woman

Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God. Titus 2:4,5

I did it!

I joined Weight Watchers online! I will start with this and if I feel like I need more support I will start doing meetings. But, I really don't want to because it would be such a bother to rush out right after my husband gets home from work. I am able to have 24 points a day and 35 extra flex points a week (for my movie dates with my sister or shopping trips when I like extra treats. Also, if I exercise I can earn extra points. I stopped exercising last week because of my neck pain, but I will start it again this week.

I just finished figuring point values to some of the recipes I will be using this week. This way we can eat the meals I would normally, but I will know when to STOP eating, lol. I am going to add point values to the recipes I have posted as I get them figured out.

So here's hoping that we actually see some progress in my weight loss!

New Start Weight: 187
Current Weight: 187
First Goal: 168

Way to go Dee!! I do Weight Watchers too. I ffel like it's a very practical program and I can eat anything I want, but it's all about choices - how much and what I'm willing to give up in order to have some other treat later on. For filler foods, I use things like sugar snap peas! I love 'em! I can't wait to see the point values for your recipes as they look SO yummy but I've wondered about the point values... anyway, I'll look forward to seeing them!

Jamie,
Do you attend meetings? And has it worked well for you? I did a few of the recipes this morning like the breakfast and the Hashbrown Soup recipes. I also did the Banana bread recipe. Now, I am off to make a bunch of banana bread!

I do attend meetings Dee. Though last week and this week, I had to run in, weigh and run out as my husband had to meet with his prayer group. I find the accountability of someone ELSE weighing me to be the main benefit of the meetings. I appreciate the advice of those who have btdt, but I really wish there was a Christian element to it - it's really lacking in that. :( I had been doing WW on my own with dh for a while and had lost 18 lbs, then managed to get OFF track and gain almost 1/2 of it back. Since joining, I have gotten 14.8 additional lbs off. I am down just shy of 25 lbs... so I'm getting there. If online works for you though - go for it!

That's great! I don't know if online will work, but I am going to try it before trying meetings. That way I have a back-up for maybe if I were to hit a plateau (should I lose anything).
